Boya - Hand crafted wool - Rhodes Village - Eastern Cape Stefanie employs local ladies to hand work raw wool from the farms around Rhodes. The wool is carded by hand, wioth carding brushes or a rotary hand driven tool. The wool is then turned into felt entirely by hand and with a considerable amount of elbow grease. Dyes and coloured wool is introduced to the artistic mix and the end result is amazing. Strong, useful products made entirely the old fashioned way with local people and materials. Boya; wool - s.sesotho Stefanie has also run workshops in several places including two small villages in Lesotho, ( a 4 hour drive from Rhodes, over Lundean's pass, just to get to the border at Telle bridge.)
